We turn a vehicle or machine layout into a harness that can be built and fitted. That covers routing, bundle sizes, coverings, splices and labels.
We do not run our own build shop. We place the build with vetted UK manufacturing partners and manage it from first article to release. You keep one point of contact who knows the design.
The full electrical system, from architecture to release data. We decide where power goes, how each circuit is protected and how the modules connect.
Control systems and engineering consultancy. We also take on control system work and technical advice, usually alongside an electrical brief. Ask if your project needs it.
Process
Six stages, in order. Some projects join part way, with a schematic already done.
We agree what the system has to do. That means the loads, the operating environment and how many will be built.
We place the modules, set out power distribution and fusing, and plan how the modules talk to each other.
Every circuit is drawn, numbered and checked against the architecture before any harness work starts.
Routing, bundle sizes, coverings and connectors. The output is a set of 2D drawings and a bill of materials.
Our UK manufacturing partners build the first harnesses. We check them against the drawing and on the vehicle, then manage the build from there.
Drawings, parts lists and change history are issued under revision control, ready for production.
We use a range of industry standard tools, including TorqCAD, the most advanced new EDS tool in the industry.
Work

2026 - Farm machinery
A farm machinery maker needed the wiring harness for a 12 m planter. We drew the schematic, built a connector parts database for the project and produced the 2D harness drawings.
2025 - Energy storage
An EV specialist was building an energy storage unit from Tesla parts. We supplied the Tesla components for it, across two orders in spring 2025.

EV Motive is the trading name of EVMOTIVE LTD. We were founded in 2022 and are registered in England and Wales. Fergus Kendall is the director.
Our work is the electrical side of vehicles and machines. That can be a single harness drawing or the electrical system for a whole vehicle.
We design in house. Harness builds go to vetted UK manufacturing partners, and we manage them through to release.
